Music Ministry

The St. Francis Xavier Music Ministry is a dynamic group of talented, dedicated musicians with the aspiration of enhancing our Liturgies.
We actively search out new members for all of our ministries.
Please take time to look at the descriptions of our many ministries to see if you might be interested in becoming part of this integral parish ministry.
If you have any questions or are interested in joining our ministry please contact the Director of Music Ministries.

 The Parish Choir
The adult choir is a vibrant group comprised of about 12 members who share in their love for music and worship. In addition to providing music at Sunday liturgies and special celebrations within the parish, we are strengthened by the friendship and camaraderie that grows through participation in this ministry. Our growing repertoire consists of Latin motets, traditional, and classical music. The choir is scheduled for at least two 4 PM Saturday Liturgies a month between as well as major feasts and solemnities.  Membership is open to anyone.
The sole duty of the Psalmist is to proclaim the Psalm at a Mass or other service.

The rule of the Cantor is to invite full, active, and conscious participation in the Mass.  One should be comfortable speaking and singing in front of people and have decent musical skills.
The organist leads the music during the Mass. We are fortunate to have a very talented and dedicated group of organists. Our positions are currently full but we would welcome and encourage anyone that would be interested to contact us.
We always welcome anyone who wishes to use their musical talents to add beauty to our Liturgies.
